Training Activities Program

Proceeding from the Institute's policy to qualify efficient banking cadres able to explore the future outlook and get use of the available opportunities in order to upgrade the performance of the banking and financial sector. The Institute has continued to execute  during 2011 the comprehensive training plan to fulfill the increasing ambitions and aspirations of the  banking and financial staff in accordance with the actual needs of the banking and financial activities.

 

The Institute continued its persistent efforts in order to identify the banks and financial institutions training needs. On the other hand, the Institute's management has made a review of agreements and memorandums of understanding signed with many regional and international banking institutes and financial institutions in order to incorporate the experiences of these institutes and institutions into seminars and joint workshops held by the Institute of Banking Studies for the Jordanian banking cadres, and to enable local banking cadres to exchange expertize with same of international arena.

 

The total number of the training activities held at the Institute during 2011 reached (247) courses, seminars and programs and were attended by (3974) . By this , the total number of  training activities held since the Institute's establishment up till the end of 2011 reached (4137) and was attended by (75917) participants . The total number of training activities held during 2010 reached (292) courses, seminars and programs and were attended by (4446) trainees from local and regional banks and financial institutions .

 

These remarkable achievements were mainly due to the Institute's keen desire to develop the abilities of the banking and financial staff and to enhance their innovative skills and talents in order to adapt to the emerging new banking and financial developments on the international arena. These achievements were also due to the Institute,s eagerness to introduce all new techniques to the Jordanian banking industry. The activities of the Institute during this year were not limited only to developing the techniques of the banking and financial services in the Kingdom , but also were directed to the neighboring  Arab countries within the Institute's persistent efforts to create trained Arab banking cadres who will possess the necessary skills to serve their institutions and raise the standard of the banking and financial sector .

 

The training activities the Institute held may divided to training courses (local and abroad), seminars and specialized programs .
