The Institute of Banking Studies conducts the «Investment Advisor Training and Certification Program» in view of the agreement signed by the Institute of Banking Studies and Jordan Securities Commission in cooperation with the USAID, and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD)/ USA, and following the persistent efforts of the Institute to improve and develop the Jordanian capital market, and to strengthen the concept of specialization in all functions associated with it to be in harmony with the Securities Law and its amendments.
This program which is the first of its kind in Jordan and the region aims at qualifying participants to obtain licenses as Investment Manager, Investment Trustee , and Financial Advisor.
This program, which is carried out in English language for (153) training hours, is presented to the participants by specialized trainers whom have attended the Training of Trainers course in cooperation with NASD. The program,s training units were applied through lectures using various training methods such as discussions, case studies, teamwork, research and strategic sessions. The training program concentrates on theoretical and applied techniques as well.
It is worth to mention that the program has met distinguished participation during 2010 from various banks and financial institutions as well as investment and brokerage companies, where it was conducted twice and were attended by (22) trainees who have Bachelor Degrees in finance, accounting, business administration and economics and other similar specializations of Business Administration faculty. At the end of the program, participants who passed the required certification exam got licenses from Jordan Securities Commission qualifying them to work as Investment Manager, Investment Trustee and Financial Advisor .

However, the Institute of Banking Studies carried out up till the end of 2011 eight programs attended by (136) participants representing different Jordanian banking, financial and investment institutions and brokerage firms.
