The Fifth Meeting of the Academic Committee for the Masters Program
The joint academic committee of the Institute of Banking Studies and the University of Jordan which was formed by the Institute’s Board of Directors resolution no. (820) dated 16/12/2007 held its fifth meeting at the Institute’s premises in Amman on 11/2/2010. The committee will continue to perform its main mission in making a periodical evaluation for the Masters Program at the Institute according to item (4) of (Para. b/article 2) of the Academic Affiliation and Cooperation Agreement concluded between the Institute and the University of Jordan on 29/5/2003.
The committee reviewed in its meeting the latest developments regarding the Masters Program which included a follow up of the implementation of the committee’s recommendations adopted in the fourth meeting held on 22/10/2009, in addition to discussing many subjects. The most important subject was the proposed syllabus of the new courses regarding the academic plan of the newly titled specialization MA in Banking and Finance, and the preparation of the comprehensive exam to be held on 21/3/2010. Several other subjects were discussed also especially regarding students’ affairs.
At the end of the meeting, the committee submitted its recommendations on all subjects of the agenda which aim at maintaining the distinguished level of the program and keeping up with the latest developments in all aspects.
