Following the persistent efforts of the Institute of Banking Studies and Jordan Securities Commission in cooperation with AMIR Program and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) / USA to launch the ?Investment Advisor Training and Certification Program (IATCP) during this year, the Training of Trainers (TOT) course was held at the Institute during 16/4-18/4/2005 and was attended by (7) local lecturers who will carry out later the training of participants in the Investment Advisor Training and Certification Program . The TOT course aimed at acquainting the local lecturers with the main modules of the training program and provided them with the necessary ideal training tools to deal with the subjects of the program and enable the trainers to give their remarks and suggestions on the contents of the program which were prepared by NASD to be taken into consideration when developing and amending the contents of the program .

However, it is worthwhile to mention that a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the Institute of Banking Studies and Jordan Securities Commission regarding the launching of the Investment Advisor Training and Certification Program during the second half of this year at the Institute premises . The IATCP new program, which will be carried out in English language, aims at qualifying and training individuals working in the Jordanian capital market to get a license allowing them to practice any of the following professions : Investment Manager, Investment Trustee or Financial Advisor, after passing successfully the comprehensive exam at the end of the program as stipulated in the new Securities Law.
