The Institute Management Meetings with Local and  International Organizations
1- ProgressSoft Corporation :
The Institute management met on 18/8/2005 with delegates of ProgressSoft Corporation and the Central Bank of Jordan in the context of the Central Bank of Jordan intention to apply an electronic clearing system for bank cheques . The three parties discussed during the meeting the Institute readiness to carry out  the training of the Jordanian banking sector cadres on the details of the electronic clearing system which is technically supervised by ProgressSoft Corporation. At the end of the meeting, the Institute of Banking Studies agreed to provide ProgressSoft Corporation with the necessary training equipments in order to carry out the required training at the Institute premises in Amman , and at its branches in Irbid and Aqaba in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan . The training courses are expected to start at the beginning of the year 2006 . Four training courses will be held every week , and the expected number of trainees will be about (1400) .
2- Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation:
The Dean of the Institute of Banking Studies met at the Institute premises on 21/8/2005 Mr. Jamal Al-Asal from the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to study the expansion of cooperation and coordination with the Ministry regarding the reinforcement and development of microfinance industry in Jordan within the context of the Institute support of the Ministry efforts to convince the Cooperative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) to make Jordan a regional center for its activities regarding microfinance in the Middle East and North Africa region. However, the Dean of the Institute expressed his readiness to use the Institute facilities and technical equipments as well as its experience in training local and regional human cadres of the microfinance institutions in order to reinforce the Institute role as  regional center for training in this field .
3- The International Center for Human Development :
A meeting took place at the Institute premises on 19/9/2005 with a representative of the International Center for Human Development / Yemen to discuss the possibility of opening new venues of cooperation and benefiting from the different training activities which the Institute carries out on the different financial and banking aspects and other matters as well either through sending specialized lecturers to launch specialized training courses on specific subjects at the International Center for Human Development in Yemen , or through training the Yemeni financial and banking cadres at the Institute premises . However , the representative of the International Center for Human Development/ Yemen said during the meeting that the Institute of Banking Studies was chosen due to its good reputation and long experience in training local and regional financial and banking cadres .
4- Palestine Institute for Finance and Banking Studies :
The Dean of the Institute of Banking Studies met on 20/9/2005 the Deputy General Manager of the Palestine Institute for Finance and Banking Studies . The meeting focused on strengthening venues of cooperation with the Institute of Banking Studies to train and develop the Palestinian financial and banking cadres and to benefit from the long experience and the training facilities of the Institute in these fields especially in the light of the difficult conditions which the Palestinian Institute faces as well as the shortage of technical facilities and scarcity of training opportunities for the Palestinian financial and banking cadres . The signing of a memorandum of understanding for developing and raising the efficiency of the trainees and employees of the Palestine Institute has also been discussed . At the end of the meeting the guest was escorted to make a tour at the Institute premises and its training facilities , and the Deputy General Manager of the Palestine Institute commended the level of distinction and development the Institute reached regarding its training facilities and accomplishments on the local and regional levels.
