The Institute of Banking Studies and the Jordan Securities Commission signed on 20/7/2005 memorandum to implement the "Investment Advisor Training and Certification Program (IATCP)" in cooperation with AMIR Program and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) / USA. This training program , the first of its kind in Jordan , aims at providing a comprehensive overview of capital markets and securities professions, and educate financial securities professionals about recent changes in the Jordan Securities Law and investment management ethics in addition to clearly define the roles and responsibilities of Investment Managers, Investment Trustees and Financial Advisors. The program which will be carried out in English language will run for eight weeks and will consist of various training methods such as discussions, case studies, team works, simulations, research and strategy sessions. Instruction will focus on fundamental theory and practical "hands-on" application at the same time. The Institute interest in this program is part of its continuous effort to improve and develop the Jordanian capital market and strengthening the concept of specialization in all professions under it . At the end of the program , the participant who will pass successfully the comprehensive exam, will get a license allowing him to practice any of the following professions : Investment Manager, Investment Trustee or Financial Advisor.
