The Administrative and Financial Assistant to the Dean Attends the First Arab Banking Conference for Islamic Banking
The Administrative and Financial Assistant to the Dean attended the First Arab Banking Conference for Islamic Banking which was sponsored by the Union of Arab Banks and in cooperation with The Islamic Development Bank /Jeddah and took place in Beirut / Lebanon from 4/12 to 6/12/2004 and was entitled " The Role of Islamic Banking in Resource Mobilization in the Arab World". This regional event was also attended by a group of the leading personalities in the public and private sector who are interested in the banking and financial sector in general and in Islamic banking in particular such as governors of the central banks and general managers of Islamic banks as well as Arab and regional investment and financial institutions.

The conference discussed different subjects and focused on the efficiency of Islamic banks in investing the available resources , and the role of Islamic banking and Islamic financial organizations in qualifying human resources. The aspects of potential cooperation between Islamic and traditional banks were also discussed in addition to the role of the international and regional Islamic organizations in providing stability and security for the Islamic banking services industry.
