The Financial and Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Institute of Banking Studies attended the Annual Arab Banking Conference for the year 2005, which was organized by the Union of Arab Banks in cooperation with Bank of Lebanon . The conference took place in Beirut / Lebanon from 24/11 to 25/11/2005 and was entitled "Banking in a Risky World" , it was attended by a large group of leading personalities in the public and private sectors who are interested in the financial and banking sector namely Ministers of Economy and Finance , governors of central banks and representatives of big financial institutions. The subjects discussed during the conference focused on the ways and means of dealing with the challenges and obstacles resulting from liberating financial and banking services which accompanies globalization , in addition to the big risks and methods of managing these risks and taking precautions against their negative effects.
